How to Update HTC One M9 to Marshmallow:Easy Guide

The good news is that you guys can now update your HTC One M9 to Marshmallow. The update is already available in various regions over the air (OTA). Even if you're the unlucky one that haven't gotten the update notification in your region,don't worry coz I've got you covered.
I will teach you how to update HTC One M9 to marshmallow even if you haven't received the OTA update. But first,let's quickly go over the OTA method to get HTC One M9 updated.

How to Update HTC One M9 to Marshmallow Using OTA method

So how do I update my Htc One M9 to Marshmallow? It's easy, just follow the guides below

• Before you proceed,be sure your phone's battery is charged up to 80% to start the process. If you start with lesser charge,you might end up bricking your phone, so be warned!.
• If you have received a notification about the update in your phone,Just tap the notification and proceed. Follow the on-screen instructions and your phone will automatically update
• If there is no update notification on your phone, go to Settings> About phone> Software Version.The phone will check for software version. If there is an update available, you will get an On-screen prompt to move on with the update. Then you have successfully updated your HTC One M9 using OTA method.

How to Update HTC One M9 to Marshmallow when OTA method didn't Work.

Caution:This method requires flashing your phone. Flashing could brick your phone if you make any mistake.
From this point onward, you proceed at your own risk,so OlassTECH would not be held responsible if anything bad happens to your phone.
However, If the steps given below are are followed accordingly and no mistakes is made, the chances of bricking are slim.
Step 1:Download RUU files: First you need to download RUU files from official website in order to update your HTC One M9 to Marshmallow. You can download from here
Step 2:Prepare your phone:These are what should be done before you start;

• Charge your phone to 80% at least for safe flashing
• Be sure to Install HTC Drivers

Step 3:Flashing Marshmallow ROM to update HTC One M9: Now that your phone is ready for flashing, download your preferred flashing tool. I recommend Odin. Assuming that you are using Odin, follow these steps:

1. Connect your phone with Pc using original USB cable
2. Now Run Odin As Administrator
3. Once the phone is connected,you should see the status on Odin Screen
4. Provide the path to Marshmallow files you downloaded in the first step and start the flashing process
5. Once the the process is complete, you can unplug your phone and switch it ON
